AMN - BURKINA FASO: High-grade results from Sanbrado

West African Resources has received high-grade diamond drilling results from the M1 deposit at its 100%-owned Sanbrado Gold Project in Burkina Faso. The drilling has extended high-grade mineralisation to more than 350 metres vertical, double the average depth of the current reserve.

Best results from depth at M1 south are 29.5m at 20.67 g/t Au from 349.5m, including 0.5m at 472.2 g/t Au; 22m at 10.52 g/t Au from 373.5m; and 15m at 12.4 g/t Au from 431.5m.

The high-grade mineralisation is open at depth and visible gold has been logged at 466m in one hole with assays pending.

West African is well funded to complete all work programs for 2017.

Managing Director Richard Hyde said, “One diamond drill hole has returned further high grade gold results at M1 South from the hanging wall zone and the foot wall zone.

“Results from the southern-most high-grade shoot show excellent vertical continuity and have extended mineralisation down to more than 350m below surface, which is twice the average depth of the current reserve.
“Mineralisation remains open at depth and is being drilled aggressively with five drill rigs on double shift. An additional contract rig is expected on site before the end of the month,” he said
