AMN was established to develop and build relationships across Africa’s mining community, and give the world a preview of what is happening in mining in Africa.

AMN - CONFERENCE: Fresh new look for Mining Indaba

Mining Indaba in Cape Town from February 5-8 will focus on deal-making, sustainable development and mining of the future.

Organisers have given the annual event a fresh new look in an effort to help attendees get even more from the investment conference.

For the first time this year there will be a deal-making area, the Junior Mining Showcase, which will host 60 junior mining companies.

Investors who attend Mining Indaba will be able to meet executive responsible for many of the brightest emerging projects from across the continent.

Sustainable development will also take a leading role at Mining Indaba, providing a platform for mining companies, governments and community groups to come together and define sustainable goals for the mining sector’s future.

A new Intergovernmental Summit will see panels of Ministers from Africa and beyond discuss what enhancements and ideas Africa can take from other mining jurisdictions.

Modernisation, optimisation and digitisation are hot topics in the mining world and the new Mining 2050 Innovation Track will enable project managers and other operational staff to learn from successful case studies, and discover the latest technologies to invest in.

Mining Indaba will again host the Investment Battlefield in which 24 junior mining companies will pitch to leading investors in commodity focused heats, with the final to take place on the Main Stage.

These new and existing features will add to the presentations and debates on the main stage, the many networking opportunities and the chance to meet more than 220 mining companies, including more than 160 juniors, and many government ministers and other key sector stakeholders.
