AMN was established to develop and build relationships across Africa’s mining community, and give the world a preview of what is happening in mining in Africa.

AMN - CONFERENCE: Mining leaders heading to IMARC

More than 2500 of the world’s mining leaders, policy makers, financiers, technical experts, innovators and educators from more than 50 countries will descend in Melbourne from November 7 to 10 for the country’s largest mining conference.

For the third time, the International Mining and Resources Conference (IMARC) will unite the global mining industry in Australia, addressing all aspects of mining from exploration to investment, production to optimisation through to technology, health and safety, future energy, policy and governance.

This year’s event will showcase more than 200 global thought leaders over the four-day event which will feature some of the most well-renowned speakers in the sector.

Goldcorp chairman Ian Telfer; CITIC Pacific Mining executive director and chairman Zhang Jijing, and US Global Investors CEO Frank Holmes are just some of the names that will be addressing the conference in November.

IMARC event director Anita Richards says the conference will provide outstanding pre, during and post-event networking opportunities.

“Prior to the conference all delegates are given exclusive access to a one-on-one meeting planner enabling them to contact other delegates directly and to schedule meetings,” Anita Richards said.

“This is intended to maximise the IMARC experience and ensure delegates walk away with partnerships and contacts for the future.”

The conference mobile app will also allow delegates to connect with the hundreds of investors that will be in attendance, and seek out investment opportunities with more than 20% readily looking to invest over $100 million.

“Those attending can also look forward to seeing a showcase of the latest innovations, technology and services for the industry throughout the free, three-day exhibition” Anita Richards said.
