AMN - COTE D’IVOIRE: Tietto extends high-grade gold

Tietto Minerals has extended gold mineralisation below the JORC-compliant resource at the Abujar‐Gludehi deposit of the Abujar project in Cote D'Ivoire. High-grade results have been returned from the first two deep holes of a resource definition drilling campaign.

The reverse circulation (RC) holes have intercepted high-grade gold mineralisation at depths over 100m below the limit of the current JORC resource model.

These two holes are part of an 8-hole program testing over 1100 metres of strike length below known gold mineralisation that includes high-grade gold mineralisation of up to 50.85 g/t Au and where visual gold was logged in 6 DD holes.

One hole returned 18 metres at 4.90 g/t from 268 metres including 12 metres @ 6.92 g/t from 268 metres and within this was 6 metres at 11.63 g/t from 274 metres. It also returned 10 metres at 1.86 g/t from 322 metres including 4 metres at 3.08 g/t from 326 metres.

The other hole returned 8 metres at 3.88 g/t from 284 metres including 6 metres at 4.95 g/t.

At the Abujar‐Pischon South deposit assay results from the first five holes returned minable grades and widths for every hole.

Better results were 10 metres at 1.23 g/t from 28 metres including 4 metres at 2.29 g/t from 34 metres and within this was 1 metre at 7.28 g/t from 35 metres; 7.4 metres at 1.77 g/t from 284 metres including 1.39 metres at 2.45 g/t from 113.11 metres; and 4 metres at 3.7 g/t from 129 metres including 0.7 metres at 15.96 g/t from 131.3 metres.

Tietto managing director Dr Caigen Wang said, “I am very encouraged by the high grades and widths of gold mineralisation being intercepted at depths well below the current resource at Abujar‐Gludehi.

"Excellent results from the first two RC holes support our belief in the underground mining potential of the Abujar‐Gludehi deposit.

"Drilling of the remaining six holes is in progress and we look forward to the resource update due at the end of the year following the end of this drilling campaign."

Of Abujar‐Pischon South, he said, "We received good results from five-step back diamond holes that demonstrate excellent continuity of gold mineralisation along strike (over 1km on 200m spaced sections) and down dip.

"We are aiming to significantly grow our mineral resources at Abujar‐Pischon in the upcoming resource update. It looks to have excellent development potential being less than 10km from Abujar‐Gludehi within the gold mineralisation corridor the company reported previously.

“Together with our most recent IP results and the discovery by the geochem survey of the potential existence of gold mineralisation in parallel with the Abujar‐Gludehi deposit, the entire Abujar Gold Project is growing in all dimensions, along strike, down depth and across the strike corridor.”

Tietto began drilling its second resource definition drilling campaign in July on the Abujar Middle tenement using its own diamond drill rig at the Abujar‐Pischon‐Golikro prospect. Ausdrill’s RC rig was mobilised to the Abujar‐Gludehi site at the end of August to drill deep RC holes.

Abujar‐Pischon is 7km south of the Abujar‐Gludehi deposit. A small portion of it was drilled in 2016 and a maiden JORC inferred mineral resource was defined over 400 metres strike and 90 metres vertical depth.

While drilling is in progress, Tietto is firmly focused on delivering upgraded JORC resources for both the Abujar‐Gludehi deposit down to 300 metres and for the Abujar‐Pischon‐Golikro prospects down to a depth of 150 metres over a 3km strike length.
